ARCHIVE
Natural History Museum
“The Archives mainly hold materials relating to the history of the Museum, including correspondence and research notes, specimen accession registers, architectural plans, expedition reports, and staff photographs and portraits.”
The Natural History Museum archive mainly focuses on the natural aspect of the world so all the physical archives are about natural science. However, they have an online archive that has a variety of science related resources.
I've been to the museum on different occasions so I had a vague idea about the layout beforehand. For example, the museum provides a section for 'Human Biology' which looks at the responses/reactions of the brain. Since, I've always had an interest in the brain, I decided to focus on that aspect of the online archive.

MY VISIT
There are many interactive displays available, that engage the spectators focus on the information without making them feel like there is too much information to take in .
STUART HALL LIBRARY
“Iniva is an evolving, radical visual arts organisation dedicated to developing an artistic programme that reflects on the social and political impact of globalisation, and issues surrounding the politics of race, class and gender”
The library keeps a collection/research of art organisation, Iniva (Institute of International Visual Arts). The collection at the library is international and concentrations mainly from Africa, Asia and Latin America, and UK artists from diverse backgrounds.
When visiting the Stuart Hall library I did not get the chance to listen to the audio guide walk due to the time limit. However, it a piece that fascinated me the idea behind the audio and its link to Stuart Hall.

Ting-Ting Cheng is the one behind the audio walking guide. She wanted to use the audio to cast away the audience in a deserted island.

(Audio Guide Walk; 45 to 50 minutes)
(Continuation)
The museum has a section about Human Biology. I will use the information provided by the gallery along with their online source to come up with an approach that I can take for my project.
